These are the terms of using State of Prayers ("the site"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
State of Prayers is an independent project operated from the state of Louisiana, United States. It is a small public site, not a company, religious organization, or counseling service.

You can post sincere prayer requests, follow-ups on your own prayers, and any honest moment of need or gratitude. You agree to follow the Content Guidelines posted on the site.
You retain ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant State of Prayers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, search-index, and archive your submission for as long as the site operates. You can revoke this license at any time by deleting your prayer using the manage link or in-browser delete option.

We do not offer accounts. Management of your own content happens through email links and browser tokens. We are not responsible for any inability to manage your content if you lose access to the email you provided or if you clear your browser data. Please keep your manage link safe if you want long-term ability to delete or update your prayer.
Donations to State of Prayers are voluntary gifts processed through a third-party service (currently Ko-fi). They are not tax-deductible. They are not refundable. They help cover the operating costs of running the site.
State of Prayers is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:
The site is a place to share and to carry. What happens beyond that is not within our promise to make.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of State of Prayers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to emotional distress, financial loss, or harm caused by content posted by others.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of State of Prayers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the site or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
We may remove your content or restrict your access to the site if you violate these terms or the Content Guidelines, at our sole discretion. You may stop using the site at any time and request deletion of your content.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws (such as the European Union), those laws may also apply in addition to these terms.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced on the site for a reasonable period before they take effect. Your continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
